In 1977, the PCMC Headquarters church in Leytonstone, was purchased.

Its acquisition was spearheaded by the late Bishop Jones, who spoke confidently of her Father’s ability to provide the monies to complete the transaction (eyes and fingers pointing upwards).

What faith!!

At its opening ceremony on February 25th 1978, the church was fondly christened by the late Bishop Dorsey as the ‘Baby Cathedral’. It continues to be the national place of worship and administration.

Subsequent Field Directors of the UK ministry and Pastors of the Headquarters church include Rev S E Bennett (1972-1987), Rev J Small (1987-1992), Bishop H Cato National Overseer (1993 – 2021) Rev A Dwyer, Rev N Edwards, Bishop Noreen Simpson (November 2021- May 2022).

These great trailblazers have left an indelible mark on the ministry of the PCM UK and of course a rich legacy, which we are called to continue. This command was summed up succinctly in the last annual general convention theme, given to our late National Overseer, Bishop Noreen Simpson: “Run with the Vision, Revival and Restoration”

The challenges facing the Church in this time are immense, but are not more than our God’s power to overcome.

As we have seen in time past, and will see again in these last days, the church, when under pressure and persecution advancing in the strength of her God, to do great exploits for Him.

So Arise, shine, for thy light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you!
